Carlos Sanchez is a well-known hair stylist in Jersey City. He is a young stylist, but he is no newbie in the beauty industry. I had the honor of paying him a visit at his brand new salon that just recently opened. We spoke about all things Jersey City and salons but most of all, we spoke about how his salon, Killah Beauty Bar, is a complete game changer when it comes to self-care and beauty.
Sanchez was born in Jersey City and moved to another town when he was five years old. In his teen years he returned back to Jersey City. He comes from a family of independent and career driven individuals. He is surrounded by entrepreneurs and people who are goal-oriented.
Sanchez believes that his family and friends have played a huge role in shaping him into who he is today. His interest in doing hair began when he was just seven years old, and he was able to cut and style hair by the time he was only 10 years old. He practiced on his mother and family members until he gained the confidence and experience in his early teen years to work in a salon. Many were hesitant to allow someone so young to do their hair, but his portfolio spoke for itself and he became a popular stylist very, very fast.
What sets Killah Beauty Bar and Carlos Sanchez apart from the rest of the salons and stylists in Jersey City is his diverse clientele. There is not a look or texture of hair that Sanchez and his team at Killah Beauty Bar can’t handle. I was also able to pay him a visit and get my hair done. Some refreshing of my balayage was long overdue, but the outcome was completely AMAZING. Killah Beauty Bar is definitely the place to go for any hair needs. This is a place that you will not regret going to, and Carlos and his team have created the most calming and luxurious atmosphere to be in.
