I always find it a little too ordinary when people say that “There’s nothing to do on the weekend.” One of the best parts about living in Jersey City as it is at its peak is that there’s so much to do and so little time. As cliché as that may be, it’s the truth – spreading yourself thin enough to cover all events going on this weekend will burn you out. So of course, we’ve reduced the list from thirty-three to seven.

Pass The Roc at Audubon Park

Make your way to Audubon Park this Saturday for the Pass The Roc. The Jersey City Department of Recreation in Association with The 1891 Group present Pass The Roc, a multicultural festival and “3-on-3” Basketball Tournament this Saturday! There will be food and friends and fun for all!
The Social at Battello

It is said that dancing can help increase endorphins and decrease stress levels. The weather will be hot and the music will be thumping. Jersey City Triathlon: Sprint and Olympic

This Sunday marks the inaugural Jersey City Triathlon.

I hope everyone is pumped for the Jersey City Triathlon! If not, you could also just be a spectator. Participants will swim in a protected alcove in the Hudson River, bike through Downtown, Jersey City, and run along the river-view paved paths.
Interested in volunteering?
“We are very excited about this race as there has not been a triathlon in JC for over 15yrs. The Jersey City Youth Foundation was selected by the race organizers at CityTri Sports to receive a donation from the race proceeds. Since this is a new event in JC we supporting the outreach and volunteerism to set up and assist with the race itself. We are looking for extra volunteer support to ensure participants have a smooth experience. Please let me know if/when you are available, and please share with your friends and colleagues. There are some time slots if you have time this weekend to give:
