Lynn: Yes, we are writing about dog poop. More so, I am writing about my brother Gideon Hazan who is the CEO behind this awesome startup company based in Israel called Piqapoo. Videos for this patent have gone viral. They’re all over social media and the news all over the world. Even recently featured on People.com! I am so proud of my big brother! Being entrepreneurs is in our blood. Even though we are a thousand miles apart we are each other’s biggest fan.
Now let me hand it over to Alex, ChicpeaJC’s Director of Operations and a dog owner to chat about this revolutionary patent.
I think we all know how annoying it is to find dog poop everywhere we go. Walking around Jersey City, it’s not an odd occurrence to dodge piles and remnants of dog waste. Many people find this to be a harmless act and don’t see why anyone would be up in arms over it. Considering the fact that dog waste can carry several forms of bacteria and parasites, it’s important to clean up after your dog as often as possible, if not always.
Well now, Piqapoo takes away the hassle of picking up your dog’s waste, so there are no excuses!
Place Piqapoo onto your dog’s tail, and when your dog is ready to poop, it’ll fall directly into the bag, leaving your hands and the ground clean!
Plenty of people have criticized Piqapoo with questions like, “How can anyone be that lazy?” and “This is a joke, right?”
What people don’t seem to understand is that Piqapoo is actually useful for a good portion of dog owners. There are plenty of times when dogs have diarrhea – what do you do in that case? With Piqapoo, it goes into the bag! There’s no need to make a choice between leaving it on the ground or attempting to pick it up. It’s an easy cleanup process. This product is especially useful for the elderly and the disabled, which Piqapoo addresses in a video demonstrating a blind woman taking care of her guide dog’s waste.

Piqapoo says it themselves:
“We also cooperate with several guide dogs (for the blind) institutes and they are welcoming our solution being the only solution today that allows blind people pick up after their guide dogs.”
Whether you’re disabled or just too lazy, Piqapoo does the job for you.
As a dog owner, this would be helpful for those times when my dog is sick. On days when my mom has had back problems or a hernia and couldn’t bend down, this tool would’ve been extremely helpful. If you think Piqapoo would work for you or someone you know with a dog, support the brand!
Read up on Piqapoo on their site, Facebook page, or check out their Kickstarter. They’re at 140% of their goal – that’s awesome!
