When we were taking these pictures I had the Michael Jackson song “Smooth Criminal” playing in my head; It was MJ’s 5th year death anniversary and that hat is almost exactly the same one he wore in the video. The weather in NYC was also a little weird and creepy…. RIP MJ.

I got this vintage black velvet maxi dress years ago at Another Man’s Treasure and the hat from a hat store in Paris on a recent trip. This hat is actually a genuine “Panama” hat. I love it! Since this dress is long, I opted for comfy/ugly flip flops. These things are the worst but they where life savers while I was pregnant. They are the the Fit Flop…. Do not wear these with a short dress!!
