I met Nikki when I went to visit 660 Studios; Nikki is one of a  kind, she is beyond awesome…Eccentric, friendly, warm, fun and unbelievably unique. What I love about her especially is she is not afraid to be her quirky self. Her room is amazing, she has a bow on her door, which is the cutest thing ever!

Nikki has a small apartment in the East Village but keeps her collection of vintage clothing , hats , shoes and eyeglasses at the studio. Her collection is really impressive , she puts my closet to shame, it looks like she has thousands of different vintage articles. During the interview we even played dress up and she dressed me up in an outfit I would never think of wearing! but turned out super cute! I love her style, and I love her soul. What are you wearing? “Vintage from the Flee market”

Whats your style inspiration? “60’s early 70s…. Muumuu…. It’s Muumuu Monday! Gotta love a hangover!”

What are you listening to? “Fleetwood Mac. We knew God was a woman…. Didn’t we know it was Fleetwood mac? We had a pretty good idea. That’s the truth!”

What is the first thing you did this morning? “Woke up and took a bunch of advils!”

Rough weekend? “We went to the bath house …too much partying….”

What’s at the bathhouse? “Saunas, steam rooms… The Russian Turkish bathouse in the East Village?”

Oh fun! “I am so bourgeois , I have two appartments. My friend pays for the other one its rent controlled. Its tiny though…”

How long have you been working at 660 ? “Since August”

How do you like it? “Its good! I just mostly come here, because its such a positive environment …. You just hang out! There are so many great people here.”

What is your favorite Jersey City hangout spot? “Here, at 660. Otherwise I like the Taqueria…. In New York you cant smoke and drink because you are a criminal if you smoke cigarettes…. So here you can have a beer and drink …. Relax…. Its all relaxed every where. I am a little too old to be going out everywhere!”

You don’t seem old! “I like to drink my boxed wine at home. I am going to be 35 in two months!”

Well you look very fresh! What’s a fun fact about you? “I used to sell my art years ago, I am from Irwin PA then moved to NY. I went to a catholic school…..I can also make my muscles above my lip look like a French mustache. Would you like to see ?”
