If I could go back to school and do it all over, I would probably be an architect. I love architecture, and watched my parents build a few homes when I was a kid. It seems like such an intense but truly creative and amazing career. I would also love the opportunity to try my hand at interior design at some point in my life.
What is your favorite place to hang out or eat in Jersey City?
Do I have to choose one? I will always have a soft spot for Battello, because we got married there, the ambiance is beautiful, the food is amazing- the gnocchi was a crowd favorite, and the staff is incredible too (shout out to Dominique)! Love Orale’s tacos and Razza’s pizza, really into Rumba Cubana this summer too, their ceviche is great. Guilty pleasure, White Mana. Honestly I love to eat… I can go on.
How does it feel to be nominated as a JC babe?
I feel honored! It is extremely unexpected and super flattering!
What are 3 random facts about yourself?
I love Broadway musicals, and used to listen to the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack every day when I was 6. I can still probably recite the entire play, definitely every song.
I am a golfer, and was the captain of my high school Varsity golf team. But am pretty rusty now tbh.
I have had the amazing opportunity to see a lot of the world from the bunk of a tour bus. Every morning I would wake up, open my blinds, and magically be in a new city. That’s probably one of my coolest and most fun experiences.
What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done or wanted to do?
I used to save my money, and without anyone knowing, fly to NYC when I was in college. I loved it here and always wanted to live here. A few years after that, I made it home
What do you love most about Jersey City?
I love how Jersey City just feels like home. After being in the city all day, I come home and it’s like I can breathe a bit. As a transplant from the midwest, I have lived in so many places including but not limited to Brooklyn, Hoboken briefly, and finally JC. It feels real, like a community, unpretentious, and where I have lived the longest in my adult life. I have also met some of my best friends here, and have my fondest memories in this town.
