Meet Alyssa! @Animal.babe

I follow Alyssa on the gram and this stunning lady is a beauty inside and out. I mean wow. Major girl crush. Not only is she stunning, but she is also a proud animal rights activist and vegan. She’s the total package. Major heart eyes. I wonder what her DMs look like…

1. What’s your full name?

Alyssa Marie Fasciano

2. What do you do for a living?

I specialize in restaurant management but as of right now, I am a mixologist at South House in the heart of downtown Jersey City.

3. How does it feel to be a JC babe?

Badass. Haha I love my city. I am so enamored by it. We have built such an amazing community and diverse environment. Jersey City is full of such unique people all coexisting and really embracing one another. I am beyond flattered to be considered a Jersey City babe & couldn’t be more proud to represent that.

4. What is your favorite place to hangout or eat in JC?

Favorite place to grab a drink is hands down my job, believe it or not. It’s one of the only places I’ve worked that I also love hanging at. It has the best vibe of all the bars in JC I think, but of course I am biased. I also love to hang at The Archer for a really low key cocktail. For food, I am vegan so my two go to spots are Subia’s and The Pet Shop. Two items you must try are the raw salad with vegan tuna from Subia’s & the buffalo cauliflower from Pet Shop, drool.

5. What are 3 random facts about yourself?

I have a 3 legged dog who I’m obsessed with.

I am one of SEVEN siblings, 4 of which are also vegan.

I prefer animals over people any day of the week. If a guy can talk random animals facts with me, I’m hooked.

6. What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done or wanted to do?

I’ve snorkeled with sharks in Turks and Caicos. They’re so peaceful and majestic, people should really rethink how we look at them.

A crazy thing I’d like to do is a silent retreat in India. Trying to make that happen soon!

Meet Justin! @Justinshoham34

I met Justin a few years ago as he is part of the political circuit. Let’s just say he does not belong in that field! He belongs on the beach without a shirt on… hence the pic below. Meet Justin, another Babe of JC who is a total sweetheart, extremely outgoing and successful.

When Justin hears party, it’s not just about fun… This Colombian/Israeli Jersey boy of Journal Square has devoted his life to the Democratic Party. In his spare time, he enjoys staying fit while playing baseball and ice hockey. When he feels like staying in and “letting his hair down,” he likes to draw and peruse Wikipedia with CNN on in the background, always keeping tabs on Donald Trump.

2.What do you do for a living?

I’m a Political Consultant, helping Democrats win elections at the federal, state and local levels.

3. How does it feel to be a Jersey City babe?

I’m flattered you thought of me, and though it’s uncertain as to what exactly a “babe” might be and what that entails, I am positive that my mother probably deserves most of the credit…

4. What is your favorite place to hangout or eat in JC?

If only Healy’s had shuffleboard, then it wouldn’t be second to South House.

5. What are 3 random facts about yourself? 

I play the ukulele just about every day.

I tried out for a professional baseball team this year.

I read poetry at JC Slam every once in a while.

6. What is the craziest thing you’ve done or wanted to do?  

Never ran a half or full marathon, but I’ll be running a 50 mile ultra-marathon on my 30th birthday in November (I hope).

Lea is a fierce JC Babe! She is a model and girl boss with a no-nonsense attitude. She also looks amazing in a bikini! Whoa.

3. How does it feel to be a JC babe?

I am very humbled and grateful to be chosen as a JC babe!

4. What is your favorite Jersey City hangout spot or place to eat in JC?

My favorite place to eat at (best lobster roll!) is Just BeClaws (located on 1st street) and my favorite hang out spot is at the Warehouse Cafe located on Bay Street. I walk my dog around that area daily, grab coffee, and just do work. Their almond milk latte makes me the happiest person on earth :)

5. What are 3 random facts about yourself?

I am always a student of life.

I LOVE COFFEE and can drink up to 5 cups in one day and still fall asleep like a baby at the end of the day.

I am the Miss NJ USA 2015 2nd runner up (pageantry changed my life for the better)

6. What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done or wanted to do?

I aim to live a fearless life. After all we only live once right? I have yet to bungee jump or sky dive, therefore, I would like to check that off my bucket list pretty soon!
