I’ve been waiting to cover Another Man’s Treasure since I started ChicpeaJC; It is one of my favorite clothing stores in Jersey City and has been around for over 8 years. Meika and Warren, owners of Another Man’s Treasure, have an incredible eye for all things vintage. Their showroom and store is filled with one of a kind items that all have great history behind them.

I got to spend almost a week with Meika; she opened her home (and closet) to me and shared her stories and love of vintage. We played dress up in their showroom and store and wore fashions from almost every era! Meika also gave me an insight into their hectic, exciting and stylish lives. They seriously need their own reality show….

I am so excited to share with you all the history behind Another Man’s Treasure; the Franz’s and the stylish peeps who work at the store. For this labor day, let’s start this week off with a cute 60’s inspired end of summer outfit.

What are we wearing, Meika? You’re wearing a 1980s striped skirt with a 1970s embroidered tank top, and a vintage coach bag, vintage 80s/90s Bass shoes. You’re also wearing a vintage 1970s clock necklace.

I’m wearing a made in France 1980’s silk polka dot skirt and 1960s red cutaway shoes…a 1970s paper-thin join the army t-shirt, and 1950s sunglasses.

Any interesting story behind these? Well the skirt is from France, I got that in the south of France, the t-shirt I can’t remember. I actually had it for sale in the show room, and then one day I was like I gotta try this on, and I can’t remember where I got the shoes either…. and then I have a 1950s straw bag.

How do you remember all of this? I just know it.
