A few weeks ago, while I was working from The Warehouse Cafe… at around 8:30 am Jennifer walks in to get her morning cup a joe on her way to work. She is so CHIC! I see her as a Chanel spokesperson to be quite frank. Jennifer was dressed to the nines and after speaking with her I found out she was 6 months pregnant!! When I was 6 months pregnant I dressed like I was on “Teen mom” : maternity jeans, converse shoes, and a beater… But not Jennifer, she looked like she was on her way to a Vanity Fair luncheon. I was hesitant to go harass her to be in my post since I know I am not the friendliest person before I get my morning caffeine fix. I listened to my gut and just went up to her! Glad she was excited to be my next “Stylish Peep!: What’s your name? “Jennifer Alexis Unno” How long have you been living in Jersey City? “It’s been 4 years” What are you wearing? “I am wearing a Helmat Lang Blazer a Philip Lim top, just because its very roomy for a 6 month pregnant belly….” 6 months pregnant? you look amazing! “Thank you, it takes hours… J.Crew maternity pants that they just came out with which I am very excited about…. The sandals are Rebecca Minkoff” What about your earrings? “Dior Tribal earrings” And your sunglasses are Vintage Chanel? “Yes, I searched everywhere for them and I actually got them for ridiculously chip from someone who didn’t really appreciate them” Very jealous. What red lipstick are you rocking? “I am a big fan of red lipsticks! Thank you, its Tom Ford …. It might be smoke red” What do you do to pay the bills? “I am a hair colorist, in Manhattan at Garren” What is your favorite Jersey City hangout spot? “The Hamilton park area, simply because I find it’s alot easier to have my own picnics on the grass with the kid….” Haha. That’s funny, I call my kid “the kid” too…. “ He is kid number one now…. I like GP’s by the park, we love Marco and Pepe…. and actually I think Sky Thai is the most underrated amazing little restaurant around here. Other than that I have no social life…. I am like making out with my kid all day long!” How old is your first? “He just turned 2” I have a 21 month old! “OMG delicious” Do you do any fun activities with the kid, any classses etc? “I am so not a believer in American regimented parenting, my husband is Japanese and I’m Cuban…. I just throw him in a patch of dirt and grass and he is like the happiest kid in the world” What’s a fun fact about you? “I am the whitest cuban that’s ever lived! I am a very old soul, so I’ve lived my live thouroughly till the age of 21 and that’s when I met my husband. We’ve been together ever since and now I feel like I am a 60 year old but I am just 31”
