Monday night when I posted my piece about Damaged wear, I looked up at my post count and saw the number go from 98 to 99…. I couldn’t believe it! I decided for today I would do a fun re-cap of my posts! CHICpeaJC is only 10 weeks old and I am so proud of it’s success!

What I’m Wearing

The initial concept of CHICpeaJC was to be predominantly a fashion blog… but then I fell in love with my surroundings, the people and businesses that make Jersey City the best place to live, eat and play, so naturally I had to explore them…That being said, I am still a fashionista and do love to share my fun/thrifty outfits to those who give a shit!

Jersey City has so much style, it’s kind of ridiculous!! I am so happy I got to meet these incredible people, hear about what they are wearing, what their favorite Jersey City hangout spot is, and even learn their fun facts! Check out my Stylish Peeps!

Art

I remember when I started the blog I told myself that I wouldn’t write about art because I really don’t know shit about it other than, I know what I like etc… but living in Jersey City ,it was inevitable and now it is actually my favorite thing to write about. I am discovering all these amazing talents and I’ve actually become obsessed with hearing about all the artists stories… from painters to street artist….and I have alot more in store!

Eats/Drinks

I think since I launched CHICpeaJC I must of gained a few LB’s but its all good, all in the name of journalism!! haha , jokes aside I got some good meals out of this thing.

Markets/Events/Fun shit

Every single day there is something going on in Jersey City, from art shows, theatre, comedy you name it…. It is actually kind of stressful because I have been diagnosed with a severe case of FOMO (fear of missing out). It is impossible for me to go to every single event since I am also a mom and by 10pm I am either writing or passed out. That being said, I do try and get out there and see as much as I can! I attended some really fun events and also threw my own dance party!!

Music

I’ve only scratched the surface with the Jersey City music scene, there are so many talented musicians in this city I can probably post about one each day and still have enough material for years! From punk, hip hop, soul you name it Jersey City’s got it!

Local Biz

Another topic I would like to explore more…I love hearing about local business owners doing their thing and hearing success stories. Everyone has a story, it takes alot of balls to decide to open your own business! and these peeps are BAD ASS!

Kiddo Stuff

Jersey City is a great place to raise little “bambinos”, there are so many fun things here for kids; Classes, events, beautiful parks… and I am really excited to discover more with my little love bug!
