This Saturday the Liberty Humane Society is throwing it’s second annual Hamilton BARK Festival, at Hamilton Park, from 12-7pm. Hamilton BARK is a one-day community festival and fundraiser for LHS, including live entertainment and activities for children, adults, and four-legged family members!  To raise awareness of this awesome event I thought it would be cute to interview a local Stylish pup!

Duchess is a Staffordshire terrier and princess of local musicians, celebs and bff’s the Big Hair Girls. She is famous in her own right, always dressed up and walking around the streets of Jersey City like she owns the place. She is a fierce bitch!!

What’s your name? Duchess Free.. or Princess or Pinky… depends on my mood.

What do you do? I’m mainly worshiped by humans. I have a few human slaves… like minions that I keep around when I need to be walked, fed, or have any other desires. For the most part I just lounge around in a lot of stylish outfits and accessories and get praised by everybody that walks past me and I also get a lot of treats. It adds to my robust physique.

I also love getting walks from Pet Patrol! they spoil me.

What are you wearing? Right now, I’m doing a metallic pearl with necklace, summer appropriate dye job and toenail polish, and I’m doing my t-shirt, butterfly-wing like raver, summer festival look.

How would you define your style? Probably classic diva…Unicorn…mermaid.

Where’s your favorite Jersey City hangout spot?  Anywhere, where they’re giving away food. I love street festivals. That’s like a buffet for me. I just run my snout along the ground and pick up anything that falls…And I don’t let my mommies pass Hound About Town without trying to struggle my way inside their doors. They have the best pig ears in town.

What do you do to pay the bills? What are bills? Bills are for hussies. I have people for that. I would chip a nail if I even tried to do anything work related and I’m too pretty to work.

Do you have anything you’d like people to know about you?  I like chasing bugs, I hate the rain, I enjoy being gently misted when it’s hot outside… I love peanut butter and fruit….And also, I’m in a band. I don’t know if you heard of them, they’re called Politics ‘n’ Religion…and I own all rights to all the Big Hair Girl songs.

What do you do in the band? Mainly boss people around and tell them when they’re fucking up… I’m the Paul McCartney, can’t you see my wings?
