In about 3 hours I will be 31 years old. It’s not exactly a milestone birthday, but it is for me…. Last year when I turned 30, Mia was still just a little baby and I was in that mommy bubble. This year I feel like I’ve grown so much, like I sort of found myself! Launching ChicpeaJC and writing about these amazing local Jersey City people and businesses has fulfilled me beyond anything I could ever imagined and I am only scratching the surface.  I am really excited for this next year and what’s to come!

Naturally a birthday girl must have a birthday dress!! I am throwing a hip hop dance party this week (check Facebook for details) at The Dopeness and this dress is not exactly appropriate to do the running man…. but it is perfect for today! It’s a perfect birthday summer dress and I love it. I can’t tell you where I got it though, and I blame my old age for that.
