Meet Norma!@seekwisdom_
They say you carry yourself a little different depending on who you are around. Not implying you are presenting a false self, but just that we all have different sides to ourselves. Certain people bring out certain versions and with Norma being a self driven and determined individual with a great sense of humor she believes she brings the best out of the people she is around! Overall, Norma has many qualities you would find great if you met her in person!
1. What do you currently do for a living and what is your dream job?
Currently I work in an established luxury spa that focuses on uplifting and nourishing the body through treatments using their handcrafted skin care products. I love taking pictures, getting styled, and having my hair / makeup done is heaven on earth. So I would say my dream job is anything in the creative filed. When working with a strong creative team you can really compose exceptional shots. Which would be my Ideal everyday life!
2. What is your favorite place to hang out or eat in Jersey City?
Tell me the closest vegan spot in Jersey City and I’m there!
3. How does it feel to be nominated as a JC babe?
Super flattered! I feel women empowerment with this new blog topic. Even though men are still nominated, being contacted by a women dominated team is a lovely compliment :)
-(thanks ladies <3)

2. What is your favorite place to hang out or eat in Jersey City?
I love Dullboy. The music and food are both great and they make the best drinks in Jersey City! I randomly dipped inside there for a quick drink in the middle of apartment hunting back in February so it’s just a special place for me!
3. How does it feel to be nominated as a Jc babe?
I’m honored to be nominated as a JC babe. I immediately fell in love with this city when I moved here 7 months ago. At the time, I didn’t know a single person. To now be nominated as a babe of my city is extremely humbling to say the least.
4. What are 3 random facts about yourself?
1. I’ve never had a cup of coffee.
2. I can’t sleep on Christmas Eve.
3. My love for Adele runs deeper than River Lea

Meet Danielle! @muneca_mullins
Danielle Mullins AKA Muñeca Mullins AKA Muñeca in the streets and Mullins in the sheets. How you Doin’? Well she already has a Caesar complex, so speaking in 3rd person is totallyher Norm. Muñeca Mullins is a Hudson-county born and raised, 2nd generation creative entrepreneur living and loving herself right here in JC.
1. What do you currently do for a living and what is your dream job?
I am a local vintage stylist, slaying and selling Vintage dry-goods locally from Muñeca Mullins Studios in Hoboken and at Mint Market in JC. I also specialize in hand painted art apparel and styling women to help them love/appericate their uniqueness. I would like nothing more but to work at Dunder Mifflin and have Michael Scott as her boss, forever. But because that is physically impossible outside my REM cycle, I am able to currently have my dream job. Collecting, tracking and selling vintage gives me the ability to meet and make friends all over. Cuz people are my favorite thing!
2. What is your favorite place to hang out or eat in Jersey City.
I like to do this privately between the hours of 11pm-3am, but crushing White Mana on tunnel is a glorious right of passage here in JC. And you’re not doing it right unless….. when you leave, the workers start telling you “See you tomorrrow”. Which is a little embarrassing, but it’s always good to Double Down, you will not regret it!
3. How does it feel to be nominated as a Jc babe?
I’m tingly in all the right places :)
4. What are 3 random facts about yourself?
I’m super deslextic.
It makes me a very fabulous artist.
I find myself endlessly entertaining.
5. What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done or wanted to do?
I have an never ending list of crazy fun things I wanna do, but I feel like the craziest thing I’ve ever done was to bet on myself and starting a business. Before I would look back at the risks I took and sorta feel like “You crazy-ass bitch”. Now as I watch my baby and I grow together I’m more like “Bitch, what took you so long?”
6. What do you love most about jersey city?
There is a true renaissance happening here in Jersey City, but without it lossing its original identity. And that’s all stems from its people, y’all can grow together but it will never let you forget what it’s all about. You either get it or you don’t. I Love that.
Meet Kenny @10.5.93
Kenny Williams, is from Bayonne, but spends the majority of his time in Jersey City. With all the joys that this world has to offer the one he loves most is being a person who gives back to others- this trait is the reason why he is the person he is today both personally and professionally.
1. What do you currently do for a living?
I am currently a special education teacher. To do a job like this, in my opinion you’ve got to be competitive. There is a common misconception that people with special needs can’t develop except I see more for my students. Because of my high expectations in every student I strive my hardest every day and compete with that thought that people have regarding how a person can develop if they have a certain disability. I want to help my students and watch them succeed to prove to others that with the proper support, anyone can excel academically.
And what is your dream job?
Although cliché, I feel when you love what you do it isn’t a job. My dream is to be a physical therapist. because of my current role I feel it is important to help those with special needs and disabilities in a school atmosphere or hospital. Every time I share my career aspirations, the usual response is wow, that might be difficult! However, for me it would only bring be joy because when provided the opportunity to help others I always make the most of it.
2. How does it feel to be nominated as a JC babe?
It feels very amazing to be nominated as JC Babe, I always looked forward to your weekly emails about what events are taking place in Jersey City- but this month it feels rewarding to know I’m looking for much more!
3. What are 3 random facts about yourself?
A. I love to travel the world.
B. I am a self-proclaimed food critic!
C. I love working out and staying active.
4. What is the crazies thing you’ve ever done or wanted to do?
The craziest thing I’ve wanted to do is go backpacking and not tell anyone until the day that I am leaving. I’ve always viewed backpacking as the ideal style of learning. Mainly because, you are pushed to learn and adapt in an environment that you aren’t particularly used to. Whether It be trying different foods, learning cultures and various styles of living, and visiting landmarks. All activities combined would help me understand life outside of the US.
6. What do you love most about Jersey City?
The thing I love most about Jersey City is that it’s essentially the new Manhattan and everyone loves to hang out here. With that said, I no longer have take that path ride to find a night full of thrills and enjoyment. I also love how downtown Jersey City has become a place where everyone chooses to hang out. It allows me to meet new people of different cultures. Whether I’m going to get tacos from Taqueria or strolling around the Grove street area there is always something to do!
