We were recently contacted by New Jersey resident and mom Amanda about a fundraiser for her son, Avier.
Avier was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at the age of 5 and has since experienced muscle deterioration and scoliosis. As a result, his modes of travel require wheelchair access, something that’s not easily available on crowded trains and buses. Medical transportation is also available, but sometimes unreliable with regard to timeliness. Now, his family is trying to raise money for a handicap accessible van to help ease the difficulties of traveling to and from doctors’ offices.
They need to at least meet half of the goal, and Jett will match it. If you’re interested in donating, you can visit their Jett Foundation page.
