Spring is right around the corner and I’m sure a lot of people are suffering from quarantine fatigue and desperately want to get out of their homes. My daughter and I conducted a variety of outdoor activities that you and your families will enjoy!
Playing a sport is great way to relieve stress, meet new people, and enjoy the outdoors. Zogsports is an outlet that allows local residents to meet and compete.

Nature trails are fairly easy to find, and many of them are great for beginners. Kids can explore nature, get exercise, and immerse themselves in the bugs and beauty that come with being outside. The Palisade Interstate lookout is a personal favorite that offers trails from beginner to more advanced.
Gardening is a great outdoor activity for families since everyone can participate. One of you can till the soil, one of you can pull out weeds, and the kids can make sure to plant and protect their seeds. If you do not have a yard of your own, not to worry. There is a plethora of community gardens in Jersey City to participate in.

Build a birdhouse
Making birdfeeders is very easy. It could be as simple as putting some seeds into a small container that is in close proximity to some backyard trees. There are plenty of DIY birdfeeders online and it’s always rewarding when the birds come to visit the house you’ve built for them.
Discover a new playground
Jersey City has an abundance of playgrounds. My daughter and I like to visit different neighborhoods to see what parks we can find. Berry Lane, Pershing Field, and Liberty State Park are excellent playgrounds to check out. There are so many playgrounds tucked within your community that is worth exploring.
This spring break maybe go on a camping trip instead. There are so many recreational activities for everyone to enjoy; hiking, scavenger hunts, s’mores and so much more. Here’s a list of some of the top campgrounds in New Jersey: https://rvshare.com/blog/top-10-campgrounds/new-jersey/
