Meet Christina & Sean – @sean_don + @the_scary_mcgarry

Christina & Sean were both born in Christ Hospital in 1988 and have lived in various parts of Jersey City ever since. Christina graduated from Marist HS, and Sean graduated from Saint Peter’s Prep. Sean went on to receive his BA & MBA from SPU. Christina is currently continuing her education at NJCU pursing what she loves, Teaching! Even though Sean and Christina are polar opposites in many ways, one thing they definitely have in common is their love to have fun! Their friends even dubbed them “the hostess with the mostess”. When these two aren’t partying, you can find them going out on adventures together or simply cuddling up on the couch watching sports or psychological thrillers. They have been raising their fur baby Zena for 10 years now and have recently dedicated most of their time to taking care her.

How long have you been together?

What is the secret to success in your relationship?

We learned that we shouldn’t rely on each other to feel whole. We need to be two complete hearts that work together side by side to achieve common goals.

What is 1 fun fact about your relationship?

None of our friends ever expected us to get together when we were in HS. It was a classic “Danny and Sandy” situation.

What do you love most about Jersey City?

We love the often unseen and unnoticed sub-communities that are tucked away within each section of JC. We tell people all the time that JC is a “big small town.” Everyone that grew up here knows each other by at least 2 degrees of separation.

How do you keep it sexy?

See us on the dance floor anywhere, anytime. Nothing but fun and love.

 

Meet Corina & Brandon – @corina.u + @brandon.brigante

We are both 32 years old and have been together for about 3.5 years. Jersey City has a very significant role in our relationship; it is where we met, where we went on a lot of our initial dates and where we currently reside now. What do you currently do for a living and what are your dream jobs?

Corina is a marketing and brand management professional and has been for about 8 years. Brandon is currently the lead of his employer’s e-commerce logistics division. We both enjoy what we do very much and hope that our growing skills and knowledge will lead us to, not only corporate, but personal happiness. I don’t think either of us has a dream job or dream title per se, as long as we are happy with what we do, have security and stability in a company that respects and values our opinions and ideas is a dream come true for the both of us.

How long have you been together?

In June, we will be celebrating our 4 year anniversary.

What is your favorite date night spot in Jersey City?

We love Cellar 335. Ever since we discovered the restaurant when they first opened in 2016, we have been going back on special evenings ever since! We love their delicious baos, ribs, and tiki-style cocktails.

What is the secret to success in your relationship?

The secret to success in our relationship is definitely a combination of three things; patience, acceptance, and communication. We have learned that without these three things we wouldn’t of been able to make it as far as we have or reached the level of happiness we feel. We understand that we need to have a high level of patience with one another, especially during our most difficult times when we can be harder to love. We must accept each other for who we are and never try to change one another. Lastly, as cliché as it may sound, communication is key!

What is 1 fun fact about your relationship?

In April of 2019, we became homeowners by purchasing our very own little piece of Jersey City! Being able to share such a milestone together was a great feeling. It was extremely significant in building our future together, providing stability for Brandon’s son and fortifying our commitment to one another.

What do you love most about Jersey City?

We both very much enjoy good food and drinks and Jersey City constantly has new restaurants and bars popping up! Being able to have so much to do and see in our own backyard is definitely something we take advantage of. Also, if we ever want to mix things up, we are just minutes from NYC so we feel we have best of both worlds.

How do you keep it sexy?

To keep things fresh and exciting, we picked one night a week to be just for the two of us – an “us night”. Having a night just for the two of us will make sure that we prioritize spending time together without letting the mundane routine of life get in the way. To be clear, it doesn’t have to involve going out to an expensive restaurant or even leaving the house… lighting some candles, sharing a glass of wine while we watch our favorite TV shows is sometimes all we need.

 

Meet Allie & Petra – @baby___kitty + @petravjera

We’re Allie and Petra and we’re a stereo-typically cat-obsessed lesbian couple living and loving in The Heights of Jersey City. We’re super excited to be among the Babes of Jersey City for the couples edition!

What do you currently do for a living and what are your dream jobs?

Petra: I currently work in Global Product Marketing at Laura Mercier, and run my own dance company, Continuum Dance Co., @continuumdanceco on the side. The goal of my dance company is to provide an outlet for individuals, like myself, to continue dancing and performing alongside their 9-5 careers. My dream would be to expand Continuum to a full studio, offering classes to all ages.

Allie: I juggle 4 jobs, because I’m a masochist. I’m a freelance writer/editor & I teach ESL classes online. I also work part-time at Trader Joe’s & definitely contribute to the whole “Why do all of them seem so creepily happy all of the time?” TJ’s phenomena. Finally, I dedicate a lot of my time to my passion project and YouTube channel, Young, Dumb, and Sober @youngdumbsober. My dream job is to focus on YDS + writing full-time. I want to continue to get the word out there to people who might be struggling with addiction or substance abuse (or even just questioning their relationship with drugs/alcohol) that living a life of sobriety can be a lot of fun and full of adventure.

How long have you been together?

We’ve only been a couple for 5 months but since we spend nearly every free moment together, it feels like a lot longer (in a good way).

What is your favorite date night spot in Jersey City?

We definitely still have a lot of exploring to do in JC, but two of our favorite date-spots so far are Matthew’s and Subia’s. Petra is vegan and Allie is vegan-adjacent so there’s plenty of tasty options for both.

What is the secret to success in your relationship?

Honest and open communication is key for us. Having hard conversations and growing from them with understanding and openness. Also, memes. We send each other a lot of memes.

What is 1 fun fact about your relationship?

We matched on Hinge then realized we were neighbors. And by neighbors we mean, we have the same mailing address. So much for waiting to move in together.

What do you love most about Jersey City?

We love the culture and vibrancy in and around JC. It’s such a big city with so many walks of life, but still maintains this small-town vibe that’s really comforting. Plus, it’s what brought us together so we hold a soft spot for it in our hearts.

How do you keep it sexy?

We have a shared note on our phones that we both have access to edit and add to. On it, we keep a running tab of all the adventures we want to experience together – including all sexual fantasies and curiosities ;)

 

Meet Tamiah & Alyza – @TheB_RodFamily + @SW3AT.Sauna

Tamiah (Hoboken Native) and Alyza (Tri-State) Brevard-Rodriguez are a married couple who grounded their roots in Jersey City. They are 2 hardworking ladies who balance day jobs, school, and entrepreneurship all while being new moms. They have traveled to over 20 countries in addition to being featured on TLC, Bravo and Refinery29 for their fertility journey. They are enjoying all the blessings life continues to offer and appreciate the strength to combat all obstacles they are faced with, together.

What do you currently do for a living and what are your dream jobs?

A- I literally have like 10 jobs hahaha. Workaholic, hustler whatever you want to call it but honestly I’m just trying to build generational wealth. I serve in the U.S Navy where I am Law Enforcement and also serve on the honor guard, I have a “9-5” with a NY state agency, and own SW3AT Sauna Studio. We also have a real estate venture we just got involved in and then of course being a mom. The biggest and best job yet.

My dream job is to be a full-time serial entrepreneur.

T- I’m a higher education professional currently serving as the Director of the Undergraduate Research Center at Rutgers University.  My wife is the life and brains of SW3AT, I am more operational support which includes everything from building, fixing, grocery shopping, laundry to printing. Im also a doctoral candidate at Rutgers.

My dream job is to become a Chancellor at a university. I would also love to be a Bed and Breakfast owner someplace tropical.

How long have you been together?

We have been friends for 11, together for 8 and married for 5 years.

What is your favorite date night spot in Jersey City?

A- With all that we have going on, date night is a rarity esp. because we have a newborn but I think our favorite thing to do is catch a movie.

T– We love going to the movies. I know it doesn’t sound fancy, but it’s our opportunity to “escape” from our busy minds. We also like going to Left Bank and Just Beclaws.

What is the secret to success in your relationship?

A– For me, I’d say pushing each other. Im so attracted to my wife’s ambition, she makes me want to be better each day. I’d also say traveling. We are really busy but we make time for 3-4 trips a year. Enjoying different cultures, going on adventures, and making memories…she’s my favorite travel buddy.

T– Striving for balance is our secret. Although we are always busy, we spend a lot of time together. No task is too small for us to just want to be together. For a better part of our relationship we were inseparable. This allowed us to learn each other very well. We can easily read each other emotions and talk about anything. We also always support each and pushing each other. Our ambitions never trump our love. We are stronger together for sure. We enjoy experiencing the world through each other and together. My wife is the smartest person I know and because she knows me she helps keep us centered as a unit.

What is 1 fun fact about your relationship?

A– Tamiah is actually the one who asked me on a date. Most people assume it was me lol

T– We met at the gym. Alyza was my personal trainer. Lol But we started dating years later.

What do you love most about Jersey City?

A– The diversity. I am so excited to raise our daughter here. She will grow up with various ethnicities, races, religions, people with same sex parents and just so many other differences. Im grateful to live in such a beautiful city with a great sense of community.

T– The sense of home. When I was in my early 20s, I swore I could live every placed I’ve visited but nope… Jersey City is where it’s at. There is so much diversity, good people and good eats to explore. I also feel really safe here. We were excited to grow stronger roots here for our daughter.

How do you keep it sexy?

A– I try to make sure I stay in shape and dress well. Since we had the baby I have kind of fell off fitness wise so I need to get back on that but I love fashion, so I make sure I always dress nice so my wife will always think i’m hot. She’s still here. Maybe it’s working lol

T– We been together so long we have seen each other in every way imaginable. lol Since I’m usually in business attire, from time to time I let my hair down and save my best outfits and makeup for outings with my wife. In January, I’ve been focusing on getting back in shape after the baby. I also make sure my wife and I make time for self care practices like getting regular massages because stress is never sexy.

 

Meet Stefany & Brett – @stefanyovalles

Stefany and Brett are college sweethearts who have been together for 12 years and are recent newlyweds. They have lived in Downtown Jersey City together for 6 years although Stefany was raised in Downtown her whole life. Together, they are parents to a furbaby, Jake Ballard (his IG is @jakeballardtheyorkie).

What do you currently do for a living and what are your dream jobs?

I’m a human trafficking and immigrant rights attorney and Brett is an aerospace engineer. My job can be pretty depressing and mentally draining so ideally I’d love to go into event planning. I’m the official party planner of my friends and family and planned our entire wedding (with a 32 page google doc to prove it, ha.) I am hoping to tap into that further down the line and occasionally do it as a side gig. Brett is annoyingly impressive as he is pretty much a genius but can also paint really well and play the guitar and piano and also has been creating a RPG video game from scratch. His ideal job would be to work remotely as a indie game developer and travel the world. (Obviously I’d be down for the travel the world part).

How long have you been together?

Brett and I have been together for 12 years! Which sounds nuts even as I type that out. We met freshman year of Rutgers and have been inseparable since and we just got married in September of 2019.

What is your favorite date night spot in Jersey City?

Our to go to spots are Ani Ramen and Roman Nose and please don’t make us choose between the two because we couldn’t. Runner up spot is Mathews.

What is the secret to success in your relationship?

Empathy. No matter what side of the argument we’re on, we have developed a habit of making sure we take a step back and see where the other person is coming from and truly understanding that it’s never about winning an argument. It’s about making sure we’re both heard and our needs are being met and we’re resolving conflicts in a way that moves us forward.

What is 1 fun fact about your relationship?

Brett hates this story but I actually met him in the men’s bathroom of our freshman year dorm. I was SO classy back then.

What do you love most about Jersey City?

I grew up in downtown and was here before it was cool and while Brett didn’t grow up here, we both have been able to witness all of the changes JC has gone through and it’s grown up with us in a lot of ways. Our go to date spots used to be in Hoboken when we first started dating and I’m so glad we get to support local businesses in Jersey City instead. (Still love Hoboken of course.)

How do you keep it sexy?

We love role playing and we’re always down to try new things so it’s been fun to explore new things together over the years. Of course, keeping a dresser cabinet full of lingerie pieces helps too. ;)

 

Meet Todd & Dileiny  – @brooklynsneakerteacher + @lovefashionfriends

We’re Todd and Dileiny Baron and we’ve been together for 7 years. We met online through a dating app and our first date actually didn’t go so well. Todd thought I was too much of a picky eater and I was hesitant to open up. The 2nd time we hung out was because Todd crashed an outing I was having with my friends in his neighborhood. My friends saw the connection instantly and left Todd and I alone that night so we’d give it another shot. It was then that we ended up really digging each other and had an amazing time together. We’re 100% non-traditional as we planned to move in together first, then baby, then engagement and marriage. Our wedding was in The Dominican Republic and our first dance was a bachata. We’ve lived in Jersey City since 2015 and are proud parents of two boys Julian and Kingsley.

What do you currently do for a living and what are your dream jobs?

Dileiny is currently working her dream job as a full time blogger/influencer (quit her corporate gig a year ago) Todd is a Dean at Brooklyn Prep High School. Todd’s dream job would be to open up a soccer academy in the Dominican Republic or become head coach for FC Barcelona.

How long have you been together?

Our 7 year anniversary is on Valentine’s Day.

What is the secret to success in your relationship?

Therapy (we do therapy at Footprint in Jersey City) and never giving up on each other. Living in a city setting with kids and constantly on the grind, it’s easy to get overwhelmed and forget about each others needs. You have to pause sometimes and nurture the relationship.

What is 1 fun fact about your relationship?

On our 3rd date, we were having drinks and dinner at a restaurant in the city and I (Dileiny) disappeared! When Todd noticed I had been gone for a while and my phone was still at the dinner table, he went looking for me. Thinking I had been abducted he made the restaurant aware and they called the police. He started banging on the bathroom door for a second time and found me asleep on the toilet! I was so sleep deprived from late night conversations on the phone with Todd that I passed out on the toilet. I was mortified and thought that I had screwed it all up, but Todd just laughed about it and it hasn’t been a dull moment since.

How do you keep it sexy?

Whenever we need a reset, and to make things sexy again we take it to Miami! Miami was our first trip and it’s a place where we remember why we fell in love. A trip to Miami for us is always filled with dancing, sun and amazing latin food. We’re there several times a year to spice things up.

 

Meet Ashley & Brian – @ashleyjacklyn.c + @bfit77kg

Hi I’m Ashley Jacklyn, I’m a 28 year old Latina/Taíno photographer, media manager, dog mom and mental health advocate.

Hi I’m Brian Perez, Jersey City born and raised, Engineer, Olympic Weightlifter and animal lover.

What do you currently do for a living and what are your dream jobs?

Ashley: I’m a NJ/NYC photographer, I mainly shoot editorial work(fashunnnn) and portraiture but I can do it all. From elopements to events and my favorite, small business content for the amazing businesses in Jersey City. I also have smaller side hustles where I work with brands and receive gifted products and I speak on panels where I talk about my experience with mental illness.

Brian: I’m currently a Project Manager for an electrical contracting company, and private trainer on the side. My dream job is to open up my own gym one day, teach others weightlifting and to be healthy and stronger every single day.

How long have you been together?

Ashley: It’s a funny story because Brian and I have known each other since we were 11. Dated quite a few times before we got serious in 2012ish. Now we’re getting married this year and we can’t WAIT!

Brian: As Ashley Jacklyn said, we were less than 5min away from each other as pre-teens and once we got serious we tested living together and then we moved into our own apartment in 2018… it’s 2020 and the wedding bells will be ringing soon!

What is your favorite date night spot in Jersey City?

Ashley: For me it would definitely have to be Ani Ramen but I enjoy trying new places. I recently tried Domo Domo and almost didn’t want to leave but it can be pretty expensive. So when we don’t want to spend a lot, Ani Ramen is the spot!

Brian: As a Jersey City natives, I could say that we have tried almost every restaurant that has opened up here.. Ani Ramen is the current fave, she can have her Shrimp Bao Buns and then I’ll get the Spicy Miso “with no pork please!” After that, when the weather is warm enough, we walk to our favorite ice cream parlor Torico’s and then our date night is complete.

What is the secret to success in your relationship?

Ashley: Supporting each other in every obstacle and success. We come from poor families that taught us money isn’t everything and what matters in being there for one another.

Brian: Doing what we love and fully supporting each other IS. SO. FREAKING. IMPORTANT. Dancing, can’t forget dancing  around your house and also cooking together.

What is 1 fun fact about your relationship?

Ashley: We play video games together. I enjoy screaming at the t.v and kicking some ass in Call of Duty and he laughs at me when I curse the kids out (they deserve it sometimes lol)

Brian: Like Ashley said, taking time to decompress by jumping  on the PS4 and taking turns owning some noobs.

What do you love most about Jersey City?

Ashley: I love that I was blessed to grow up in the most diverse city in the states. It made me fall in love with other cultures and languages and most of the people I love reside here.

Brian: I love the diversity of our city, I mean this is like the only place that you can have  Filipino, Spanish and Indian food within a 2 block radius. (Journal Square)

Ashley: Brian and I enjoy dancing together, worshipping each other’s bodies and spirits, but I really LOVE when he’s cooking. something about a man who cooks is just HOT!

Brian: Best thing to keep it sexy is to try to have fun every time, laugh together, cuddle often and when things are getting hot, make it fun and cherish every single second of it.

 

Meet Allison & Eric – @allyinwanderlove + @ericnau1

We’re Eric and Alison, an adventurous and outgoing couple who like to travel, eat good food, and go out to concerts. We’ve lived together in JC for a few years and we love it here.

What do you currently do for a living and what are your dream jobs?

Alison: I work in disability services all across NJ. My dream job is to be an anthropologist because I’m fascinated by the rich cultures and histories of the world. I love adventure and I want to explore and share what I learn with others. So I do that through my Instagram.

Eric: I work in hospitality in Midtown. I like the art behind creating craft cocktails and quality spirits.  I’d love to work as a Master Distiller.

How long have you been together?

We met in 2015 and we’ve been together since.

What is your favorite date night spot in Jersey City?

It’s hard to name just one. Broa and Luna and are some of our favorites.

What is the secret to success in your relationship?

We prioritize making time each week to do something fun together and make each other laugh. We might meet up at happy hour or stay in to make dinner and play cards. Whatever we’re doing, we’re laughing and connecting with each other which is key.

What is 1 fun fact about your relationship?

We both love to get pedicures together. Haha. Eric is really open to trying things so one day we went together and now it’s become one of our relax rituals.

What do you love most about Jersey City?

We love the sense of community, the atmosphere, and the diversity. It’s great to be able to experience the festivals, farmers markets, live music, art shows, and more all year round. Plus all the different delicious cuisines you can enjoy without leaving JC.

How do you keep it sexy?

Dancing.  We both love music (from house to hip hop to salsa, we listen to it all) and getting into rhythm, vibing with each other… it’s just sexy.

 

Meet Mateo & Jackie – @mateoahki + @jackiefate

Mateo and Jackie, Prince and Princess of The Grind Coffee Shop over in Bergen-Lafayette. Both born and raised in Jersey City, we’re proud in what we do to give back to our community.

What do you currently do for a living and what are your dream jobs?

Mateo works as a business consultant, promoting the building of business in the neighborhood and Jackie works at Jersey City Medical Center and is in school for health care. Jackie has dreams to become an influential leader in her field of work and continue to help those in need. Mateo has dreams of releasing his debut album in 2021 and opening 5 more Grind Shops in Jersey City.

How long have you been together?

We have been together for three years now, meeting through a mutual friend at Groove on Grove, and the rest is history.

What is your favorite date night spot in Jersey City?

On date night, we love Miso Ramen on Newark Ave. Fave fave fave fave.

What is the secret to success in your relationship?

The key to success for us in our relationship is definitely communication; we make sure to remember the “little” things and to make time for ourselves and each other despite our busy schedules.

What is 1 fun fact about your relationship?

Fun fact about our relationship: We have an adopted daughter named Daisy, who is also three years old, and is a beautiful pit-hound mix :)

What do you love most about Jersey City?

What we love most about Jersey City is Bergen-Lafayette. A gem, that’s still rough around the edges there’s a lot of Jersey City authenticity and there’s still a sense of community in the area. With Grind Coffee at the forefront of what Bergen-Lafayette has the potential to become we’ve made this our home and planted our roots with our Grind fam.

Meet Morgan & Clay – @Morgieebee

We just got married in October and couldn’t be any happier. We are both NJ born and raised, and have lived in Jersey City for 3 the past years. It’s crazy how much Jersey City has changed since we moved here! We have a 3 legged rescue pup named Kuna (after the Panamanian indigenous tribe). He is a handful but we love him so much! Outside of work, we spend every chance we get out in nature. Hiking and camping are the weekend favorites, with our eyes set on the next big mountain ascent or backpacking trek (If you ever see a girl on the stair master with a backpack full of cans, it’s probably Morgan!). If we are not getting lost in the mountains, you’ll probably catch us cooking together while drinking wine and watching Always Sunny or Parks and Rec in the kitchen. We’re happiest together.

What do you currently do for a living and what are your dream jobs?

Morgan: I am currently working as a Growth Strategy manager at CoolVines in Jersey City! I love what I am doing now but I would love to eventually get into sustainability specifically in the food industry!

Clay: I am a Sustainability Strategist at Accenture, helping companies operate more responsibly for the social and environmental good. Honestly, this is kinda my dream job, but if I could choose I would do it all while climbing a mountain.

How long have you been together?

We’ve been together for 8 years, but only married for 5 months.

What is your favorite date night spot in Jersey City?

Our perfect date night starts at Dullboy for a cocktail, then we head across the street to Orale for dinner, then to FM for some awesome live music (RIP), and finally close it out with some games at Barcade.

What is the secret to success in your relationship?

We are always working to better ourselves as individuals and as a couple. It’s constant work but it is easy and life-enriching when you are with the right partner. We do this by speaking our minds, listening, and being open to new perspectives.

What is 1 fun fact about your relationship?

We both rowed crew in high school which is how we met. We have been together ever since!

What do you love most about Jersey City?

Jersey City has so much character, diversity, history, and culture which creates a really awesome vibe. There’s a mix of retail/ restaurants that have been here forever and brand new places popping up all of the time. It feels new, exciting and forward thinking but also authentic, with deep roots, and a strong sense of community. I think that it is a great balance right now and I hope it stays that way.

How do you keep it sexy?

Morgan: I love spontaneity and creativity, especially when it comes to romance. There is nothing sexier than a guy that puts in the work to romance you! Last month Clay handed me 7 envelopes with random addresses on each one. He said that we would be going to all of those addresses that day but I wouldn’t find out what we were doing there until we arrived. The first address he told me to wear comfy clothes and I really thought we were about to go skydiving or something terrifying like that but it ended up being a 90min massage! I won’t reveal all of his secret date night ideas but the last envelope I had to wear an elegant dress! The rest of the day was full of activities that he had planned and it was seriously the most romantic thing ever.

Clay: Never forget about when you first met, and the thought and effort that went into every text, hangout, or date night. Just because you have been together for 5, 10, 20 years doesn’t mean that the person you are with is any less special. You have to always keep things new and exciting; make them want you like when you first met.

Morgan always wants me to be happy and puts so much thought into making sure that I am. When I’ve had a hard week, she makes that Saturday “Clay Day,” where my favorite things are all around me. I tell her all the time that she is the most beautiful woman in the world (cause she totally is), but that doesn’t stop her working out like crazy, getting hotter every day, and making me daydream about her when we’re apart. I think what I am trying to say is that keeping it sexy takes a bit of effort no matter how long you’ve been together, but that effort doesn’t seem that hard when you’re with the love of your life.

 

Meet Desiree & Ron – @DesireeGodsell + @HillandVelez

Ron and Des both live in Jersey City with their 1yr old son Theodore Valentine. Ron is a freelance graphic designer/fashion designer and Desiree is a professional dancer/choreographer, and together they have the lifestyle brand Hill & Velez. They enjoy traveling, antiquing, crafting, and hosting dance dinner parties.

What do you currently do for a living and what are your dream jobs?

Desiree: I’m a professional dancer/choreographer, and have a Lifestyle brand with my Husband Ronj. The dream is to continue making cool art and stuff with my family…with more resources!

Desiree: The Cellar. They got the best daiquiris.

Ron: Taqueria’s margaritas is my favorite date night spot!!

What is the secret to success in your relationship?

Desiree: Communication and massages.

Ron: Patience.

What is 1 fun fact about your relationship?

Desiree: We met on the set of our good friend’s video shoot, Hoes come out of night.

Ron: My wife is cooler than everyone else’s wife.

What do you love most about Jersey City?

Desiree: The Waterfront, Taqueria, and the homies.

Ron: I love that as much as Jersey City is changing…. each neighborhood is still culturally distinct. I have a favorite place to go in every hood.

How do you keep it sexy?

Desiree: Communication and massages.

What do you currently do for a living and what are your dream jobs?

Sade: I am a barber at STAGS ONLY barbershop in Hoboken NJ. I don’t have a dream job, as long as I actually enjoy what I do it doesn’t seem like work at all.

Flo: I am working full time in construction and freelance photography + videography. My dream job would really be to not have to work and spend more time with my family, honestly .

How long have you been together?

We have been at this for 7 long years 🤗

What is your favorite date night spot in Jersey City?

Porta is a vibe. The crowd, the music, the dancing. We love that. Barcode is also one of our go to’s because we’re both competitive and Flo loves showing me the old video games from back in his day.

What is the secret to success in your relationship?

There’s no one answer to this. Love isn’t simple. Healthy Communication and compromise. Also understanding perfection isn’t practical.

What is 1 fun fact about your relationship?

We are truly best friends before anything else. Legit besties.

What do you love most about Jersey City?

We love the fact that we were both born and raised in Jersey City. To see the growth in not only the city as a whole, but also in our community is so moving. Raising our two children here has been amazing.

How do you keep it sexy?

Being parents can be very demanding of our time and energy. We really focus on making sure we have date night and alone time ! It’s important that we keep that spark and spontaneity on the forefront.
