I grew up most of my life outside of the US, and I always thought that American parents sometimes went a little overboard putting their babies into all these classes…. the baby just popped out of your lady bits, do you think he/she is ready to learn japanese?? I digress….
While pregnant with Mia I was still teaching my dance classes, I went till I was about 38 weeks (coolest pregger lady ever!) so it isn’t a surprise that she loves music and loves to dance. I thought it would be fun for her to go to a music class so I signed her up at A Sound Start here in Jersey City.
A Sound Start is operated and run by a local Jersey City resident Andi Gunden. Andi is awesome and so good with the kids!
I took Mia to one of her classes and had a blast! We sang songs … club hits like “If you’re happy and you know it”, “Drop it like its hot” (kidding). We danced, we gave the kiddos a little massage (man I wish I was a toddler sometimes), we played with drums and Andi played some fun tunes on the guitar!
It was stimulating for all the senses, the 45 minute class flew by! I was kind of upset when it ended. Was hoping to do the acapella version of “Twinkle, Twinkle”. Nap Time!
