Located at 278 Monmouth Street here in Jersey City, PicoTech Institute is a STEAM-based learning center offering classes for all ages through three academies – STEAM Rocks Academy, PicoDesign Academy, and PicoStudio Academy. 

STEAM Rocks Academy is defined as a “21st Century Classroom” focusing on a hands-on, interactive method of teaching for students from Pre-K to 8th grade. Classes are in areas such as engineering, art, design, sustainability, and computer science. Not only are there camps at PicoTech Institute, but there are also onsite school programs, after-school programs, weekend classes, class trips, and even birthday parties!

PicoDesign Academy is targeted toward high school students, college students, and adults interested in STEAM education or learning about 3D printing for business purposes. High school students can participate in community mentorship programs in areas like design, engineering, art, computer science, and sustainability. College students and adults can participate in core classes like 3D Printing, Computer Aided Design (CAD) and other Design Softwares, and Virtual & Augmented Reality. PicoDesign Academy classes are offered Monday through Thursday from 6 PM to 9 PM, during the day on weekdays in 90-minute courses, during the weekends for 3 to 6 hours, and even one-on-one via online courses.

PicoStudio Academy is for the hobbyists, those who are in high school or who are adults and simply want to explore 3D printing and design. Using their Makerspace, participants can create projects or take classes to learn the latest on 3D or STEAM related software. Core classes include 3D Printing, Computer Aided Design (CAD) and other Design Programs, Wood Working, Hydro & Aquaponics Systems, Cement Projects such as making a Fruit Bowl, and CNC classes. These classes are also offered during the PicoDesign Academy timeframes – Monday through Thursday from 6 PM to 9 PM, during the day on weekdays in 90-minute courses, during the weekends for 3 to 6 hours, and one-on-one online.

On top of the academies, PicoTech Institute also offers PicoTech for Business, which includes a range of services to businesses from professional design and 3D prints to corporate team building events and private parties.
