Landmark Hospitality’s newest venue recently opened their doors in the Porte Liberte neighborhood in Jersey City. It feels like this venue sprouted overnight and is a much needed new edition to the area! They recently made the news and went viral when Sir Paul McCartney did a surprise performance at wifey’s Nancy holiday party which was held at Hudson House!!
The Cretella family is behind Hudson House and 9 (!?) other restaurants and venues around New Jersey/PA and growing. They are the geniuses behind Liberty House Restaurant the Stone House, The Ryland Inn and too many more to list. I’ve had the honor of getting to know them over the last few years and their story is truly amazing and inspiring. What I love most about this family business is how involved they all are in the day-to-day activities. When I came to Hudson House for my tour, Jeannie Cretella was meeting with a bride and groom to be and going over their wedding details.
I reached out to daughter and hospitality mogul in the making Maddy Cretella (who was also a Babe of JC a few months ago, and one of my favorite people) and asked her for an exclusive tour of the new Hudson House. Hudson House is defined by its panoramic views, pristine landscaped gardens, rich architectural elements and of course, the memorable hospitality.
Hudson House features two breathtaking event spaces for groups up to 500, Terra e Mare, a signature restaurant with multiple private dining areas, and the iconic Stork Club rooftop bar. The event spaces opened in early October 2019 and the Restaurant and Rooftop will open this spring.
I couldn’t believe my eyes; everything about this venue is perfection! It almost makes me want to get married again!! (LOL). The views, the attention to detail… everything. I love how all their venues have a different feel and vibe. The event spaces were designed for the modern bride and boast all the luxurious amenities found throughout the Landmark Hospitality portfolio.
Maddy also gave us an exclusive tour of the restaurant that is slated to open in spring 2020!
Terra E Mare, which means “Land and Sea” in Italian, will be an open kitchen concept, high-end Italian food with a massive lobster tank, pizza oven, a dry aged room and a MASSIVE bar. The Executive Chef is Daniel Brunina, formerly the Chef de Cuisine at the famed Ryland Inn. The restaurant’s Contemporary-American menu by Daniel Brunina will focus on seafood, in-house dry aged steaks, and local and seasonal ingredients. Menu highlights include Bolognese gratin, impressive steaks for 2, and salt baked tilefish. The restaurant comfortably seats 120 guests inclusive of bar seats. The architectural rich space is only rivaled by the panoramic views of the Hudson.
The Stork Club Rooftop features both indoor and outdoor spaces, allowing for year round enjoyment of arguably the best views in the tristate of NYC’s most iconic landmarks. The Stork Club offers a complete experience – unique cocktails and food menu to pair with the ultimate social scene. The beverage program highlights the classic “Stork Club” era; encompassing a well curated wine list, bespoke cocktails, and craft beer.
We can’t wait!! Thanks for having us Landmark Family!
