Month’s ago, I started getting overwhelmed with all the event invitations I was getting through social media, it got to a point where I couldn’t keep track and just started ignoring them out of anxiety. I ended up missing out on some dope events as a result. I reached out to my awesome web developer Chris from Binary Sprocket to hook it up… and after weeks of trial and error we are finally ready to launch this puppy.

In my old corporate life, I was a Training Director for a tech company, and one of my responsibilities was to create user guides and cheat sheets for end users (surprising I know!). Explaining the functionality of this calendar is totally bringing me back!

Accessing the Calendar

On the menu bar click on “Events” this will bring you to the event calendar of this month.

Viewing the Calendar

You can view the calendar in many different ways!

1. By Month

As soon as you get to the events page it will automatically show you the month view of all the events, each category will have its own color.

2. View List

By clicking on the drop down menu you can view the calendar in a list format

3. Narrow Results

You can also narrow your results based on category, day, venues, cost and tags! All free events will be tagged with “Free Event”

To view details of a particular event you can hover over it or click on it for further details.

Adding Events

I will be populating this calendar on a bi-weekly basis with whatever events I get on social media, that being said I am a one man show so if you see your event isn’t on the calendar feel free to submit it yourself! I highly encourage you to submit the event as soon as possible.

To add your event on the menu bar click on “Add Event” then fill in the form and submit!! yay!
