I love oysters, I am obsessed with the buttery sweet taste of the sea in my mouth. When I looked at the calendar yesterday and realized today was #NationalOysterDay (who the hell comes up with these national days anyway?!) I decided to take the opportunity to write a “listicle”, because it’s click bait and now you are on my site and hopefully browsing through and discovering other cool stuff!
Anyway, back to the oysters. Here is a list of my top 5 favorite spots for Oysters in Jersey City. Let’s get sexy today shall we?

The Hamilton Inn always delivers and their oysters are on point. They also have special oyster nights where you only pay $1 per oyster and half price for cocktails!
This speakeasy in Downtown Jersey city never disappoints and on Tuesday’s they have a special oyster night. Order a platter to share with your sexy date and one of their delicious cocktails. Oyster’s are aphrodisiacs so the combination of Dullboy’s sexy vibes and some drinks… You can thank us later.
Not into raw oysters? no problem! No frills Bergen-Lafayette neigbhorhood spot Hooked JC has the best fried oysters! It’s also the perfect low key spot for a family dinner. Hooked JC uses all fresh and local seafood too and it’s very easy on the wallet.
When I asked my JC friends on Facebook what their favorite oyster spot was, many mentioned The Lighthorse Tavern! I love this spot that’s tucked in the adorable Paulus Hook neighborhood. It’s a great place to come with friends, a date or with the family.
