For years I thought Tommy 2 Scoops was just an Ice Cream spot, until I met with Tommy 2 Scoops aka Mr. Brightside Tavern aka Tommy Parisi a few months ago. Tommy is extremely well known in the JC community, he is one of the friendliest people in town. I was lucky enough to interview him a few months ago at his restaurant and our own local “Cheers” bar/Restaurant “The Brightside Tavern“. After the interview he invited me to come check out his other food spot, “Tommy 2 Scoops”.

I’ve never eaten here so I didn’t really know what to expect. I came around noon to check out the place and it’s super cute! It has the most adorable backyard area! Perfect for the kiddos.

Tommy mentioned they always have events in the garden, birthday parties, work lunches etc… Fun!

While at Tommy 2 Scoops, a few people we knew from the JC community came in for lunch or for some Ice Cream, like Eddie Baez from Gayborhood!

Alright, enough socializing. Time for some food! Tommy ordered a few sandwiches and some fries and they were so delicious! Tommy said they bake fresh bread in house everyday! yum.

They also have fresh pizza, wraps, and salads for those of us trying to watch our waistline (clearly I wasn’t that day).

Sometimes all you need is a yummy turkey sandwich and Tommy 2 Scoops really hit the spot! #nomnomnom

Of course for dessert we had to have some delicious gelato Ice Cream! 3 scoops.

The best part is that they deliver and they are open till 1opm everyday!! Say hello to Tommy will ya? he’s a character!
