We had the pleasure of writing about Chef Claude over a year ago when he competed and won Food Network’s “Chopped” repping Jersey City.
Chef is a JC native and opened his first spot in Journal Square. Freetown Road Project highlights the West Indian flavors of Antigua. Unfortunately they were forced to close down due to COVID-19 and are now in dire need of help and the communities support. They recently released a GoFundMe to help them get back on their feed.
“We are a small business that has been open through the entire pandemic. With absolutely no funding from the government because we don’t qualify, We are left wondering if we will be able to survive. We’re starting this GoFundMe to help cover repairs ,covid upgrades, pay staff, utilities and rent.Anything would help and be appreciated. We are still going to grind as we normally do, but we need any assistance to stay in the game”
We love you Chef!
