So if you’re reading this, I can bet you 1 of two things: you’ve got your tickets to our first #SinglesinJC Speed Dating mixer and you want to know what you can expect, OR you’re still on the fence about whether or not you should reserve a ticket. Well, while I can’t make the decision for you, I can surely tell you this Thursday at Miss Wong’s (basement of Talde) from 7-10pm, we’re going to be keeping it sexy and bringing it back to the old school ways of meeting new people!

First things first, be sure to arrive early! Open bar will kick off promptly at 7pm and will last continue straight through until 8pm. The first hour will be reserved for you to grab a drink, chat, and check in! Coat check will also be available for a small fee. Tickets for the Speed Dating portion as well as the open bar package are still available on SinglesinJc.Eventbrite.com.  However, Tickets for the open bar portion will be available for purchase at the door for anyone who wishes to still participate.

We’re all here to have an amazing time so while it is a “Speed Dating” event, it is also so much more than that.  It’s a chance to connect with other local people in the area and even network a little bit. DJ BizzNice will be on the 1’s an 2’s, and our very own Chicpea will be our Guest Host to set the perfect vibe all night. Can’t make it to the Speed Dating portion? Join us for the free after party! Make sure to bring a friend or two!

The Speed Dating will begin at 8pm and will run in 3 minute intervals. That’s right, you’ll have 3 minutes to get to know each person. Now I know conversation with a total stranger can get, well … a little awkward, but we’ve got your back! Conversation starter cards will be placed at each table with loads of insightful questions to ask!  *phew that was close*

Small finger foods will be available for purchase before and after the Speed Dating portion are over. And *Bonus* – mention ChicpeaJC or show them this article for 10% off your next dinner at Talde!

The event will be wrapping up at about 10pm and our Singles Social mixer will follow. Tickets for the mixer are absolutely free and there are already over 50 people RSVP’d!  The majority of our guests are in their late 20’s and 30’s.

We do ask as a kind courtesy, no phones for the Speed Dating portion as we are trying to keep the dating portion free from interruption. However, we’ve set the perfect amount of time before and after the event is over for you to take a few pictures and maybe, who knows, get a number or two.
