Saturday night’s premiere opening of the Club Room at Transmission Nightclub’s was the place to be. The bar / lounge had the perfect mixture of vibes within its 5000 square foot space.
Transmission Nightclub, located downtown Jersey City in the city’s art district on Bay Street is an artist work within itself. The cobblestone road outside the lounge adds the perfect touch to the vintage decor inside the club. Behind the bar is a bathtub filled with huge ice cubes and liquor bottles and decorated with broken mirrors which gave the bar a relaxed feel for those interested in unwinding after a long day. The dance floor was the total opposite; a few patrons showed some of their best dance moves on the floor that night.
Outside the lounge is a patio that fits about 100 people, it provides the perfect space for those interested in networking and talking without the loud music. Going out on the patio for a breath of fresh air or nice conversation will not totally separate you from the party, the glass walls and doors that separates the patio from the lounge allows you to still see everything taking place inside.
For the premier opening designer Sonia Santore of Boy Band Clothing had a fashion show, displaying her trendy designs. All the models wore colorful flowers in the hair, adding a distinct touch her show for Jersey City Fashion Week.
The music was the perfect blend of house music intended to satisfy the needs for the diverse Jersey City crowd. Occasionally the bar provide live acts to hype the crowd, Saturday’s act was the Illustrious Blacks an afro-futuristic group.
Transmission Nightclub is great place to hold events like bridal parties, corporate events, and even baby showers. The bar offers a limited food and drinks prices of drinks at responsible prices for the area, with an average drink price of about $13.
