We’re getting you prepped for this weekend’s events early this week. Here’s why—as the weather gets better, it gets difficult to choose between our top choice for events! So here’s our list of the top ten things to do this weekend. Grab your sneakers, grab a seat, grab you friends, or grab a drink whatever you choose, mark your calendars and go out!

Thursday
1. OpenShop at JC Fab Lab – 3D Printing
April 7th @ 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM
JC Fab Lab, 195 New York Ave., Jersey City
Spend Thursday evening with the JC Fab Lab for OpenShop a mini 3D printing workshop. Take the Ferrari of 3D printers out for a spin and create something amazing with the Fab Lab. Workshops will be for children and adults so bring the family and have some fun!
2. Citizens of Jersey City Gallery Opening
April 7th @ 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM
The Citizen, 332 2nd St., Jersey City
Join The Citizen and Mayor Steven Fulop this evening for a ribbon cutting and gallery opening for “Citizens of Jersey City.” The exhibition is a series of photographs that highlights people from Jersey City. So head on down, have a drink and get a bite to eat. Congratulations to The Citizen!
3. National Poetry Month with Wordsmithing and Art House!
April 7th @ 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Brightside Tavern, 141 Bright St., Jersey City
Tonight is going to be a big night for poets, singers, spoken word artists, and wordsmiths of all genres! Join Art House and Wordsmithing at Brightside Tavern for a night of poetry, Wordsmithing challenges and a special performance by Celeste Sena. Celebrate National Poetry month in style. It’s going to be an amazing night and you’re not going to want to miss it.

4. JC Fitness Fair’16

5. Pacific Flea

The Pacific Flea outdoor market returns this Saturday for their 2016 season chockful of crafts, food, antiques, and so much more. We’ll make sure you’re not too burnt out from the Fitness Fair to get a little shopping done! Feeling like you could do brunch instead? Join Whealth & Co for brunch in the middle of the flea!
6. Spring Pop-Up Studio Sale
April 9th @ 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Alley Cat Gallery, Located on Coles Ave. between Fourth St. and Fifth St., Jersey City

7. Red Letter Day

Visit the Lincoln Inn for Red Letter Day and spend the evening with three amazing bands. It’s going to be a memorable night with performances by A.P.P, Anthony Tamburro, and Karyn Kuhl.

9. Fine Art Home

The Beacon, 20 Beacon Way, The Paramount Room, Jersey City
End the weekend right and make sure to take a relaxing stroll down to The Beacon for “Fine Art Home.” A collaboration between the artists Andrea McKenna, Stephen Cimini, and Joseph Frascogna which showcases pairings of art and furniture.
10. Long Pose Session
April 10th @ 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Jersey City Art School, 20 McWilliams Pl., Jersey City
Looking to fill your weekend with art and figure drawing? Visit the Jersey City Art School for a four-hour long pose session. This event is BYOB and BYOS (bring your own supplies). Concentrate on the form of the body and the crease of the skin and don’t forget to photograph your work when you’re done! Let us know how you did!
