JC Wine Fest

Join us on Saturday January 28th at JC Wine Fest, where you’ll be exposed to over 150 styles of wine. Guests can enjoy unlimited wine samples, along with live music from Stereo Junkies and delicious food from vendors like Angry Crab, By Suzette Crepes, Paragon Tap & Table, Morris Tap & Grill, Milk Sugar Love, Glazed and Confused, Cow and the Curd, and more!

2. Hip-Hop Utopia: Culture + Community

Until February 21st, everyone can enjoy the new “Hip-Hop Utopia: Culture + Community” at Hudson County Community College, curated by Michelle Vitale and Fred Fleisher. The exhibit can be viewed Monday through Saturday, and features artists like Lois Stavsky, Yishai Minkin, Freddy Samboy, and plenty more! You can also attend the Opening Reception on the 31st.
3. Transgressive Hamlet
January 26 – January 28 @ 7:30 PM – 10:00 PM

For its first show of the New Year, Jersey City Theater Center (JCTC) presents a subversive retelling of a classic play for contemporary audiences. Caborca’s Hamlet is a multimedia and multicultural reimagining of Shakespeare timeless drama. It’s such an interesting concept, so why not check it out? The show runs until Sunday. 6. “Sound & Vision” at Transmission

Starting this weekend, there’ll be a new kind of party in town! Every Friday at Transmission, you can expect tunes from New Wave to Britpop, and dance all night long.

8. 11th Annual Snow Ball Gala

Art House Productions, 136 Magnolia Ave
Snow Ball is described as a “black tie creative” gala, and its main goal is to benefit Art House’s innovative arts programs. There’ll be live music, light fare, open bar, silent auction, and a festive, arts-friendly crowd! I cannot think of a better crowd. Though it is now sold out, you can keep the energy going at the A Snow Ball After Party!

9. Presenting in Concert: A More Perfect Union

North River Sing Community Choir is holding their concert, “A More Perfect Union: Politics, Plays, and Parties” this Sunday! Pass by for a fun concert and sing-along, followed by a reception.
