There are several reasons why people decide to pursue a gluten-free (GF) diet – maybe they just want to feel less bloated, they have a gluten sensitivity, or they’re full on celiac and absolutely need gluten-free foods. In any case, it can be pretty tedious to search for foods that are safe to eat.
My aunt (hi, Vivi) recently found out she has Celiac disease and texted me, “Omg write a blog entry about gluten free foods in Hudson County. I’m starving.” Lo and behold, here are some suggestions to start you off if you’re struggling to figure out where and what you can eat in Jersey City!
WHOS Gluten Free

WHOS Gluten Free is a dedicated GF kitchen on Mallory Ave with delicious products available in local shops including 9Bar Cafe, The Big Straw, Cafe Batata, and Hidden Grounds. You can have tasty food throughout the week (they even have brunch on weekends!) and you don’t have to worry about any cross-contamination.
