It’s that time of year! We’re a month away from the 9th annual All About Downtown Street Fair and ChicpeaJC is taking over the HDSID Instagram and Facebook leading up to the big day on September 21st.

Last year, we took over the HDSID Instagram and Facebook from August 15th to September 15th to countdown to the Street Fair.  In similar fashion, we’ll be sharing our favorite vendors daily who will be participating in the Street Fair and sharing tips on navigating the fair. We’ll also be live from the All About Downtown Street Fair!

What to Expect at the Fair

Over 325 participating vendors

You can shop around from over 325 unique vendors, many of them local favorites. The HDSID has started announcing some participating vendors for the All About Downtown Street Fair, including Just Like Mom’s, Jersey & Co. Gelato, Jersey Jenem Pop Art, and Janie’s Crystals & Gems. Keep an eye on the dedicated Facebook page and our Instagram takeover for updates on who will be attending the event!

Kids Rides and Activities

Sponsored by the Smile Preschool & Nursery, there will be a specific kids zone filled with rides, games, and activities for children! Bring the kiddos for some family-friendly fun, from face painting to amusement rides.

Live performances and music all day long

There’ll be a full lineup of performers put together by The Rock-it Docket with performances on Bay St & Newark Ave. There will also be a rotation of DJs in the designated Chillax Zone at the Grove St PATH Plaza.

Beer gardens

Anyone over 21 can enjoy drinks from three different beer gardens! Mathew’s Food and Drink will have their new Southern-style biergarten on Grove St, The Keyhole Bar on Bay St will be participating, and Left Bank Burger Bar is back with their Island Vibes Reggae Fest on Jersey Ave.

The biggest Downtown event of the year is happening on September 21st from 12PM to 8PM. The Street Fair will take over Newark Ave from the Grove St PATH Plaza all the way to Coles Street. We hope we see you there!
