The Jersey City fireworks show will be returning after a year off in 2020 due to the pandemic. The City of Jersey City will be partnering with the Jersey City Night Market to bring the entertainment to the waterfront leading to the fireworks show by Grucci. JCNM will be organizing a day filled with local food vendors, artisanal shopping, a 21+ biergarten, and a music line-up of DJs curated by DJ Luv of Jersey City’s Chilltown Collective.
This year’s celebration will be focused on reviving food businesses, supporting local, and the relaunch of in-person events. This event will be hosted on Montgomery Street at the Exchange Place Plaza, with the beautiful NYC skyline as its backdrop. Admission is free and open to all ages. The organizers are asking guests to keep socially distant during the event.
The list of vendors include Oh K-Dog, Twisted Potato, La Coqueta, Eemas Cuisine, Spoonable Spirits, Tojo’s Kitchen, Milk and Cream, and many more. The 21+ beer garden will be hosted by GP’s Restaurant and Bar.
“As host of one of the biggest Fourth of July celebrations in the region, we look forward to putting on one of the best Fourth of July fireworks celebrations yet again this year, launching from two barges in the Hudson River. With Jersey City Night Market providing dayside food and entertainment, residents and visitors can enjoy a full day of festivities as we celebrate our nation’s independence and a big step towards normalcy following a year of lockdowns worldwide,” said Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop.
Jersey City Night Market is a community initiative led by the creators of Midnight Market in partnership with the Mise En Place Project [501(c)(3) nonprofit]. To learn more about the fireworks festivities click here: https://www.midnightmarketjc.com/jcnightmarket or https://freedomandfireworks.com/.
