I ended up eating amazing gelato today. My taste buds felt like they were running through golden fields of awesomeness, along with the children who were laughing on the Ferris wheel and the families mingling to the sounds and vocals of Kiwi.
This weekend, Lynn and I split about seven events right down the middle—this far into the weekend—they have been fantastic.
Bucket and Bay Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting
Around 5PM, Rock-it Docket was setting up sound equipment and Bucket and Bay was prepping their sample cart. With glorious flavors such as Blueberry Lavender and Painkiller, what more could a lady ask for?
Let’s not forget this number: Rose Latte! Talk about yum.
The Mayor and his sidekick from P.S. #22—who was Mayor for the Day commenced with Bucket and Bay’s ribbon cutting.
It’s official: Bucket and Bay is now open and serving amazingly hand-crafted gelato.
Kiwi, setting up with some riffs and warm-ups!
Say hello to Chloe and her owner. Super photogenic pup!
105th Annual Mt. Carmel Feast
Families and friend’s gathered on Broadway today to celebrate and party it up for the 105th Annual Mt. Carmel Feast. After the Bucket and Bay ribbon cutting, I took a stroll from Downtown to Broadway to join in on the festivities.
Jersey City residents can’t get enough of Ferris wheels and bouncy houses!
When I got there, “New Jersey’s Favorite Oldies Group,” The Cameos, were singing some great numbers and getting the little ones dancing!
Zeppoles, they’re fresh from the fryer and sprinkled with love.
And barbecue, from the grill to your plate!
There were many different vendors and carnival games to choose from! Carnival goer’s won fun prizes from games such as: Super 50/50, Spyr-O-Mania, and FatCats.
Feel like you might have missed out? Don’t worry! The weekend isn’t over yet!
