Thursday, Aug. 18th marks the first of Liberty Science Center’s After Dark events, and we have all the info to get you ready! ChicpeaJC is the official #LSCAfterDark Ambassador and we couldn’t be more excited to share this night with you.

The theme is “Dancing with Drones,” so be ready to watch  indoor flights in the drone cage on the 2nd floor, and drone races outdoors. Be prepared to take photos and dance with the drones around you! We’ll have HayOner hosting and music playing all night by DJ Stadium Status, so it’s bound to be a good time. Dance wherever you’d like, but the main dance floor will also be on the 2nd floor.

The night starts at 6 PM, where you’ll come in and be greeted by the ChicpeaJC team! You can have your picture taken in the photo booth and start your night with a few drinks. R2-D2 will be at the front until 7 PM, and we’ll also have JC artist TechnoChic making FREE light-up souvenirs for first 100 guests at happy hour!

Guests can enjoy a menu filled with beer, wine, and cocktails with small plates of food available throughout the night on the 2nd floor! Feel free to enjoy your drinks while exploring all of LSC’s exhibits, except for the Touch Tunnel and Infinity Climber. These two exhibits will be open on Aug. 18th, but drinks can’t be brought in.

All exhibits will be made available for guests, so try out the Rock Wall, Touch Tunnel, Infinity Climber, the TMNT exhibit, and much more! Now’s your chance to be a kid again.

You’ll also have a chance to experience the Prince laser show in their massive IMAX Dome Theater. Each set is 24 minutes long with the following set times: 6:30, 7:15, 8, 8:45, and 9:30. The shows are first come, first served. Be sure to get your free tickets in advance in front of the theater!

There’ll be the Wonderboard featuring posts and tweets from everyone using #LSCAfterDark, located below the DJ on the 2nd floor. Use the hashtag and you could see your post on the big screen! There will also be two Snapchat filters for you to use!! So fun!

Keep in mind that restrooms are located on every floor, and smoking needs to be limited to at least 50 feet from the entrance.

If you’re wondering how to get there, Lyft has offered codes for riders who purchase tickets online! There will be staffers on-site to help people use the code and access the rides, and drivers will be on standby at the far end of the parking lot.
