Mark your calendars! The Jersey City International Television and Film Festival (JCITFF) is back for its 3rd year, and ChicpeaJC is excited to be the 2016 brand ambassador! JCITFF is the perfect showcase of indie film and culture in Jersey City. Mayor Fulop will be in attendance, and Bill O’Dea will be hosting the red carpet. He’s hilarious, and I’m so excited to chat with him.
JCITFF will screen independent films from November 4-6 throughout the city. During these three days, over 39 films and web series from around the globe are scheduled to be screened including features, documentaries, animation, web series and student films, some of which were created by students from NJCU and Jersey City’s high schools.
NJCU is hosting JCITFF’s Opening Night Red Carpet Event on Friday, November 4 from 6:00 – 10:00 PM in the Skyline Room at NJCU’s School of Business, 200 Hudson Street, Harborside 2. All films will be screened at NJCU School of Business, 200 Hudson Street and at JCMC Jersey City Museum (350 Montgomery St) starting at 8 PM on Nov 5th and 6th.
JCITFF’s Feature Film, Steps, executive produced by Shaquille O’Neal and local Jersey City resident and filmmaker Eddie Harris, will be screened on Saturday, November 5th at 7:45 PM at the JCMC Jersey City Museum, Caroline L. Guarini Theatre, 350 Montgomery Street. The movie tells the dramatic story of one man’s quest for love and redemption and was filmed entirely in Jersey City.
After the film screenings, you can head over to Club Transmission (150 Bay St, Jersey City) at 10:00 PM for an awesome After Party. You can meet the filmmakers, the JCITFF team, film industry experts and like-minded film aficionados.
