I am not even sure where to begin. It’s Thursday; the party was four days ago, and I am still hurting… yes it was that good.

I will try and keep this recap short and sweet since I am guessing everyone is interested in looking at all the photos. We got approximately 700 Pictures for you to go through. Media Booth Life photographer took most of the red carpet and VIP photo’s and Andy-Mac got all the after party shots.

VIP Party

The event started at 8pm with a VIP party. This was from around 8pm-10pm, and I basically invited friends, family, business owners and people I’ve written about.

Conundrum was in the house, and they started playing as the guests were arriving. They were the perfect band to set the mood. It was sexy AF.

Shout out to Jackie and Marelyn for manning the door!

Shout out to Jennifer Dock for being my makeup artist as well as the models in the fashion show and keeping me looking fresh for the night.

8:45 pm. The crowd was getting thicker.

A personal highlight of mine was when my parents showed up. Being able to share this event with them was really incredible. The best part was seeing my parents show up in people’s snap chat!! They had a blast. All night people were coming up to them and giving them mad respect. I loved it.

Shout outs to Transmission for hooking up some food for the VIP portion!

9pm. Full house.

DJ Prestige from Flea Market Funk played funky beats for the people in the lounge area. He killed it!! Love this guy.

Highlight number 2: When the Mayor showed up. I wasn’t sure he was going to be able to come for the event, so when he did, I was super excited. When he walked in he told me he couldn’t stay for long, that he came to say hello. He ended up staying for 2 hours. Yes, I am tooting my own horn. The party was so LIT the Mayor didn’t want to leave.

The Fashion Show

At around 10pm, we opened the doors to the public as well as the nightclub area where the fashion show was being held.

It was time to get the show started. Host HayOner was getting people excited for the show; we even started a little dance party on stage.

The crowd was waiting in anticipation for the show to begin.

The show started, now I am not going give an extensive write-up about the show because we will have a video of it coming soon!

I came on stage to say a few words and thank yous and then called up Mayor Fulop.

The Mayor came on stage and said some really nice things, I don’t even remember, to be honest, I was sort of in shock that it was happening. He called up on stage Assemblywoman Angela McKnight, Assemblyman Raj Mukherji, Councilwoman Joyce Watterman, and Freeholder Anthony Romano. WOW.

This was a really proud moment for me. All my hard work the past two years definitely paid off. I was extremely appreciative of these amazing people recognizing my contribution to JC Culture. Someone pinch me…

It was time for the After Party. DJ Stadium Status dropped the beat, and the crowd went nuts. Now is when the real party started.

The Milk Sugar Love ice cream cart started up for the after party and gave party goers yummy scoops of ice cream. So fun.

Another highlight was seeing everyone party together. You had the people in suits and the streetwear kids, the artists, and business owners. I am pretty sure while the Mayor was posing for this picture Stadium Status was playing Panda.

At around 11pm. Helen’s Pizza showed up with around 12 pies for all our party people. There isn’t a party like a pizza party!!

Highlight number 598393 was having my own Snapchat filter!! Shout out to Giancarlo @yeahgiancarlo for hooking that up. I felt like a boss and shout out to Mai, who is part of the NVRland Productions crew for taking all my snaps for the night.

This was another funny moment. I caught the Mayor with Councilman Rolando Lavarro taking a pic, and I moved in and photobombed them. Good times.

Everyone had a blast. The next day I got a bunch of messages that people were hurting pretty bad. Job well done!!

Then the cops came.

Yeah, that happened. The cops showed up at around 1:00am, I was freaking out obviously and scared the party would get shut down. Thanks to the Scully brothers and HayOner for talking me off a ledge!! Everything turned out to be ok; they didn’t find anything (OBVIOUSLY), and we continued the party. Apparently they were doing a routine sweep that night.
