This Saturday is the 6th annual AngelaCARES Purple Gala. Angela McKnight is a dear friend, an assemblywoman, a contributor for ChicpeaJC, and, most importantly, the founder of AngelaCARES, a nonprofit organization that provides services for seniors, youth, and those in need.

Every year, people show up in support of Angela and her cause. Guests wear purple, the color of her organization. It’s a really great event where people from all over Hudson County come to celebrate and donate to this amazing cause. Four years ago, when ChicpeaJC was only a year old, she hired me to cover the Purple Carpet, which was a lot of fun and the start of our friendship.

Join AngelaCARES on July 27th as they celebrate community excellence at their 6th annual gala! From 6PM to 10PM, celebrate the wonderful impact of community members at the MacMahon Center at Saint Peter’s University.

During their 6th annual gala, AngelaCARES will highlight and honor youth and seniors, a community warrior along with community agencies that are making a difference in the community. During the evening, the work of these individuals and what their results have meant to the community will be recognized and awarded.
