On June 22nd, Jersey City is hosting the African Cultural Arts Family Festival at Berry Lane Park! The event is commemorating Juneteenth and celebrating the African diaspora.
What to Expect
From 12PM to 7PM, there’ll be entertainment and activities of all kinds!
Children Area
There will be a designated Children Area with games, songs, dancing, a magic show, arts & crafts, a drum circle, face painting, special costume heroes and more.
The day will also have activities for children, including arts & crafts, poetry, dance, and tae kwan do.
Performances
There’ll be performances and activities on the main stage starting with aerobics at noon followed by gospel music, spoken word, dance + drums, historical performance, and jazz.
Vendors
Shop around with local vendors in a marketplace and a food court to grab some bites to eat!
