My favorite season is here – Farmer’s Market Season!
Join the HDSID in bringing back the Farmers Market on April 30th. I cannot stress enough how important it is to shop local and small. We have to support our local small businesses and farmers! Stop by and look around for a bunch of great produce, unique handmade goods, and enjoy some delicious bites from awesome food vendors, including some new ones! Here are a few vendors we’re looking forward to seeing this year:
New Vendor: Kimchi Culture
In case you didn’t know, kimchi is fermented vegetables (typically cabbage). Kimchi Culture takes pride in their kimchi-making process and work toward providing quality kimchi to everyone! Kimchi is considered a superfood, so if you’re looking for a new food to spice up your dinner, this spot is for you.
New Vendor: Milk Bliss
Milk Bliss brings something new to the market – lactation cookies for expecting mothers! Their cookies include Galactagogues, an ingredient used to increase breastmilk production. If you or someone you know is a nursing mom, why not pick up a tasty treat to help them during the breastfeeding process?
New Vendor: Sweetberry Bowls
Everyone loves a good acai bowl, especially when it’s warm outside. Sweetberry Bowls serves bowls with four different bases: acai, pitaya, green, and coconut. They also serve salads, and you can pick up a smoothie for an on-the-go treat!
New Vendor: Circle Brook Farm
Pick up some organic produce from Circle Brook at the Farmers Market! They’re certified organic, and they have a wide range of fruits and veggies. Instead of heading to the grocery store, stop by and grab some fresh ingredients for dinner.
New Vendor: Getaround
Getaround is a peer-to-peer car rental service. You can rent cars instantly starting from $5 an hour, all from your phone! They’ll be at the Farmers Market, so be sure to stop by and get more information if you’re interested in renting or even listing your car.
New Vendor: United Food Concessions
United Food Concessions is a new vendor serving up some treats perfect for the summer – selling roasted corn ! Bring the kids over for a late afternoon snack.
Paolo’s Kitchen
Paolo’s Kitchen offers homemade Italian food using fresh ingredients! Why order takeout when you can grab delicious Vegetable Lasagna or some Eggplant Rollatini for dinner?
Bang Cookies
Who doesn’t love a good cookie? Whether it’s Sea Salt Chocolate Chunk or Oatmeal Raisin, Bang Cookies is the best place for an irresistible treat. They’re so good, you’ll end up coming back for more every week.
Stella’s Empanadas
There’s something about a warm empanada that just makes everything better. Stella’s Empanadas have a huge variety of empanadas, from chicken to a Wester-style empanada with eggs, onions, peppers, tomatoes, and cheddar cheese. Their take on empanadas makes it all worth going back for more.
Graze & Braise
Graze & Braise offers personal meals filled with healthy and fresh ingredients so you don’t have to worry about stressing over what you want for dinner or lunch the next day. Their meals are nutrient dense, paleo, and gluten-free with some plant-based options!
This season, the Farmers Market will have Ort Farms, Stony Hill Farm, Circle Brook Farm, Veso Farms, Just Delicious Kettle Korn, Hoboken Farms, Stellas Empanadas, JC Fish Stand, Bread And Spoon, Americas Kettle Corn, Busy Bee Organics, Bang Cookies, United Food Concessions, Gourmet Nuts, Taproot Organics, MilkBliss, Kimchi Culture, Eat Food CSA, Gourmet Nuts and Dried Fruit, Organic Olive Juice Co., Sweetberry Bowls, Paolo’s Kitchen, Getaround, and Graze & Braise.
