The Black Shopping Network is a Black-owned business resource recently launched by Janice McLean DeLoatch to provide operational support and access to small business owners. Not only is it a website with a directory to these small businesses, but it is also a business development platform. Small minority businesses will be able to access resources with web development, advertising, liability insurance, and more helpful business services.

Janice McLean DeLoatch currently runs a weekly radio show in Baltimore and created the first TV show that focused on small business entrepreneurs. As someone who dealt with little to no support in finance services or access to operational platforms, she decided to create a platform to help provide those services to business owners.
On July 7, Blackout Tuesday, Janice launched The Black Shopping Network. As mentioned through their site, “Through data analytic modeling, the Black Shopping Network™ will align shopper’s needs with merchant products and services to exceed merchant revenue expectations.” Shoppers will be able to shop with small Black-owned businesses that can supply their needs rather than browse through a large directory with an overwhelming amount of options. The ultimate goal: support Black-owned businesses on a platform created to benefit them.
