We here at CHICpeaJC are total tech geeks and when we got the scoop from city hall that our police would be getting police cams we had to share the news! Jersey City is on the high road to setting the bar on safety and diversity in the nation and it’s not going to stop! We are going to be the first inner city in the state which is going to have police with body cameras.

Jersey City will buy body cameras along Patterson and Newark, New Jersey. This will help help promote better police protocols in case of emergency. This will also help to lessen the rate of complaints from civilians. This allows for EVERYONE to be accountable for their actions.

As of the recent push for the police force in the state to sport body camera—Jersey City Police Departments will now have them visible at all times. According to the Gloucester County Police Department’s highest members, these body cameras have made a huge impact on patrol and civilians.

Jersey City is the most diverse police in the nation and according to the Washington Times, Jersey City is seriously paving the way!
